Sturgeon Moon
“Last week we had the pleasure of seeing the Sturgeon Moon rise above the African bush. This name comes from Native American traditions, when sturgeon fish were most abundant in the Great Lakes during late summer. It’s the last full moon of the summer in the Northern Hemisphere, and here in our bushveld, it brought a magical golden glow over the landscape. The wildlife seemed to pause and take it in—just like we did. Nature always finds a way to remind us how beautiful and connected our world really is.”
